Federation of Khasi Clan Elders or Synjuk Ki Rangbah Kur-Ka Bri U Hynniewtrep has clarified that the delegates from Ri Bhoi who attended the meeting held recently plans to carefully review the tradition of “Ring Bia” and “Shaw Bhoi”.
The federation said the general consensus is not to indulge in other parts of the Khasi and Jaintia Hills, which is an exclusive practice of Ri Bhoi people.
It further urged upon the people of the State to cultivate the essence of mutual respect for specific customary practices elsewhere in the State.
