A huge boulder fell on a house in the 10th Mile area of Khanapara police station in Ri-Bhoi.
This incident occurred today afternoon. Local people said that a big stone fell from the hill above the house of one Durga Pourel. Three people were present in the house at the time of the incident but all escaped without injury.
Work on cutting the mountain is going on near the house, which could explain the loose boulder. A team from Khanapara police station are investigating the matter.
