A training programme on production technology of winter vegetables was organised by the College of Community Science, CAU, Tura for farmers of Harigoan village in South West Garo Hills.
The programme was held yesterday under the ICAR-IIVR Project Development of Model Vegetable Village and Popularisation of Kashi series of Vegetables in Garo hills in collaboration with ICAR-Indian Institute of Vegetable Research, Varanasi, U.P., ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar (AICRP-WIA), ICAR-DOGR, Pune.
Lectures on Nursery Management, Production technology and Seed Production of Vegetables by Faculties of MTTC& VTC, CCS, CAU was followed by farmers scientist interaction and input distribution of CAU-Bioenhancer, Kashi series vegetable seeds (French bean, Pea, Tomato, Brinjal, Chilli, Indian bean, Radish) and Bhima Shakti variety of rabi onion seeds to the small and marginal farmers.
