Two lives were abruptly cut short in Ri-Bhoi in a case of electrocution.
The victims were identified as Lal Lapang (65) and Pian Namsaw (44), residents of Umden La-ang village.
What exactly happened is still a little sketchy but what is known is that the unfortunate incident occurred around midnight on Saturday-Sunday with the bodies discovered on Sunday morning at around 8:30am.
The pair were found in a jungle near a high-tension power line connected to Patharkhmah.
Upon being informed of the incident, police from Byrnihat responded and conducted a spot inquiry. The bodies were then taken to Byrnihat community health centre but no autopsies were performed at the request of family members.
