Shillong, Oct 31: East Khasi Hills District emerged winner in both Sub-Junior and Senior categories of the State Roll Ball Championship 2026 held at St. Peter’s Higher Secondary School, Nongstoiñ on Saturday.
In Sub-Junior (Boys & Girls), West Khasi Hills finished runner-up, while West Jaintia Hills secured second runner-up. Medhansh Singhania (Boys) and Snedha P. Baruah (Girls) were adjudged Best Players.
In Senior, West Khasi Hills was runner-up and Ri-Bhoi second runner-up. Dawanme George Chyrmang (Men) was named Best Player.
The championship, organised by West Khasi Hills District Roll Ball Association under Meghalaya Roll Ball Association, saw participation from over five districts.
The 5th State-Level Speed Skating Championship was also held at the same venue with over 55 skaters taking part.
Both events marked a milestone as Nongstoiñ hosted state-level championships for the first time.
