Registration for Miss Jowai 2023 pageant has begun today till September 30.
The beauty pageant is being organised by the Diza’s Socio & Sports Club (DSSC) under the theme, “Empower Her: Grace, Culture, Sustainability” to be held in December.
DSSC President E.E. Laloo said the club has been holding the beauty pageant since 1988 along with other sporting events to uplift and empower youth.
Laloo said registration has started and interest participants can visit Runo Health Clinic, Kynruh Saphlang near Little Angles School, Jowai for more information.
She said those who have attained the age of 19-27 years with 5.2 feet in height (without heels) and residents of Jaiñtia Hills can participate in the contest. Those who stay outside the region but belong to the Pnar community can also participate after submitting relevant documents, she added.
