Shillong, Nov 18: At around 10am on November 16 the body of an unidentified male was found at the HP Petrol Pump at 11 Mile Khanapara in Ri-Bhoi.
An inquest was held and the body was then moved to the Nongpoh Civil Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The deceased remains unidentified and police have asked family or anyone else who can identify him to come forward.
The person is believed to have been a Hindu, was around 5 feet tall, between 50 and 60 years old, with a dark complexion, pointed nose, grey beard and thin build. He was wearing grey track pants and a multi-coloured sweatshirt. He also had a burn mark on his hand, which may aid in identification.
