Police have informed that the body of an unidentified man was found on May 30 near the Wahumkhrah, just behind the boundary wall of the Seng Khasi Higher Secondary School in Jaiaw here.
After completion of the post-mortem examination, the dead body has been stored at the morgue of Shillong Civil Hospital for identification and claim. A case of unnatural death has also been registered at Lumdiengjri police station.
The man was approximately 30 to 35 years old and 5 feet 6 inches tall of swarthy complexion and wearing a purple jacket with orange stripes on the sleeves, a grey t-shirt, formal shirt with orange stripes and block track pants.
