Shillong, Feb 27: An unidentified dead body of a man was found floating on Umsuwai River in Moolamanoh village on February 25, East Jaintia Hills police said today.
The reason for the death was unknown.
The East Jaintia Hills Superintendent of Police in a statement said the person is between the age of 40-50 years and 5.3 feet tall. He was wearing a black track pants, a blue t-shirt and black jacket.
The body has been kept at the Khliehriat Civil Hospital morgue for an autopsy to ascertain the cause of death.
