A circle-level Dak Adalat will be organised by the office of the Chief Postmaster General, North East Circle, Shillong to address grievances related to postal services and redressal on February 28 at 11 am.
The office said customers can send their written complaints through ordinary post or speed post with the subject “Dak Adalat” on the envelope cover and address it to the Chief Postmaster General, North East Circle, Shillong-793001.
Complaints should contain full details like complete address and registration receipt number etc. For complaints about Savings Schemes and Postal Life Insurances, the account number, policy number and full address of the depositor/insurer should be given, a press release issued today said.
The written complaints should reach the office before February 26. Complaints, if any, received after the fixed period will be redressed through the usual channel. Complaints can also be sent in the email address: pg.ne@indiapost.gov.in.
Further, the Meghalaya Postal Division will hold a divisional-level Lok Adalat in the office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Meghalaya Division on January 30 at 11am in which customer grievances received from the postal customers of the division on all services offered by the department will be attended.
Customers can submit their grievance on any of the services offered in writing to the office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Meghalaya Division on or before January 29.
