As part of a nationwide mass tree plantation drive initiated by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, the Northeast Sector Headquarters and 67th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Shillong, conducted a tree plantation drive at New Shillong Township Development Agency today.
Officers and personnel of the CRPF, under the overall supervision of Inspector General (North East Sector) Anurag Agarwal, Deputy Inspector General Ram Charan Meena, DIG Anil Kumar Dhyani, 67th Battalion Commandant Alok Bhattacharya, Deputy Commandant Sanjeev Kumar, Deputy Commandant Thanglenlal Misao, carried out the special drive plantation.
Altogether 1,500 saplings were planted during this plantation drive.
