A ‘social activist’ has accused an employee of the Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank’s (MCAB) Mawsynram branch of treating customers with utter disrespect and has demanded his removal.
Banshai Marbaniang said in a release today that Indrajit Bhowal has been the cause of “significant difficulties” to a “large number” of MCAB Mawsynram account holders. According to Marbaniang, the employee does not treat the customers with respect, interrogates them “like animals”, treating account holders “like his own slaves” and uses loud and vulgar language.
Even other MCAB staff have complained about him, Marbaniang said, while calling for his removal.
