The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has developed mobile phone apps to help prepare the population to deal with flooding during the impending monsoon season.
The apps are Mausam, Damini and Meghdoot Agro. They can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
The public can also report their weather observations to the IMD through the internet on city.imd.gov.in/citywx/crowd/enter_th_datag.php, a press release from the State Disaster Management Authority informed today.
