Meghalaya Trinamool Congress president and sitting MLA from Nongthymmai constituency Charles Pyngrope will file his nomination papers here tomorrow.
Pyngrope will be the second president of a political party to file his nomination to contest the upcoming Assembly elections. NPP national president Conrad Sangma filed his papers yesterday to contest from South Tura seat.
The last date for filing of nomination for the State Assembly elections is February 7. The scrutiny of the nominations will be done on February 8 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is February 10.
The polling will be held on February 27 and the results will be declared on March 2.
