Shillong, Jul 19: Geetali, a sociocultural organisation based in Laban, organised the Partha Sarati Dutta Memorial Carrom Competition from July 15 at Harisabha Community Hall, Laban.
The tournament concluded yesterday with the finals and prize distribution.
A total of 44 participants joined the singles category and 10 in the doubles category.
K Lyngdoh was the winner and D Sewa the runner-up in singles. Jaiaw Carrom Club were the doubles champions, with Ryntilang Carrom Club the runners-up.
A special prize was awarded to Jayanta Das for his outstanding contribution in the sport’s department throughout the years.
