As a sign of the cordial relations that exist between the two, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) played a friendly volleyball match on the Indo-Bangladesh border at East Jaiñtia Hills.
The match was played at Barsora village near the BSF outpost at Kuliang, led by Commandant of the BSF’s 172nd Battalion Sanjay Sharma, who welcomed the 35-member BGB delegation led by Mohd Assadunnabi, Commanding Officer of 19 BGB.
Players of both teams presented a thrilling contest which was enjoyed by around 500 villagers and troops.
The BSF Commandant stated that the event was conducted to encourage and strengthen the friendly ties between two great nations and both elite border guarding forces. He emphasised that such matches will promote cordial relations and coordination in order to maintain peace and tranquillity on the Border.
