Shillong, Jul 27: Commemorating the valour and supreme sacrifice of India’s brave soldiers during the Kargil War, the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya Frontier organised a jazz band performance yesterday at Matri Gate, ICP Dawki under the aegis of 4 Bn BSF as part of Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations.
The event was graced by the presence of Satish Kumar Dogra, DIG, SHQ BSF Jowai; NV Siam, 2IC 4 Bn BSF; two other officers, 10 subordinate officers, and 20 other ranks. Also in attendance were TC Chakoo, Manager, LPAI and officials of LPAI.
The BSF jazz band performed emotionally powerful and patriotic melodies as a heartfelt homage to the gallant Kargil martyrs, who laid down their lives in the service of the nation with unmatched courage and unwavering determination, a press release said today.
