The Border Security Force (BSF) seized 55 cattle on the border of East Jaintia Hills, which were intended to be smuggled into neighbouring Bangladesh.
The cattle were being brought clandestinely to the border area through forests by miscreants when troops of the BSFoutpost Dona intercepted them. The seized cattle will be handed over to police for further disposal. BSF Meghalaya confiscated more than 300 cattle along the international border since last month, the force informed through a press release.
