A nodal officer level meeting between the border forces of India and Bangladesh was held in Tamabil, Bangladesh today.
The Border Security Force (BSF) delegation was led by Deputy Inspector General UK Nayal and they met Lt Col AKMA Ali Mamun of Border Guards Bangladesh and its delegation.
The two sides discussed various border-related problems faced by both forces, like the smuggling of cattle, drugs and narcotics, fake currency and other contraband items.
The construction of the integrated check post in Dawki also figured in the talks.
Both sides agreed to jointly prevent cross border crimes and pursue all pending development works to further strengthen the strong relations between the two countries, the BSF said in a press release today.
