The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya held a civic action programme and free medical camp for residents in the border villages of Dawki and Muktapur in West Jaintia Hills.
During the programme, which was organised by the BSF Meghalaya’s 4th Battalion, medicines and essential items were distributed to the villagers from border villages like Dawki, Bakur, Riahjalong, Lakroh, Hawai Sutnga, Hartoli, Muktapur and Hawai Bhoi. More than 250 local villagers from these areas attended the event.
As part of the outreach initiative, stationery items, sports equipment, school bags and water tanks were distributed to students of various schools. In addition, medicines were provided to the villagers in the medical camp, ensuring access to basic healthcare facilities.
