On the occasion of the 60th Border Security Force (BSF) Raising Day, a grand Barakhana was organised at the Frontier Headquarters in Meghalaya, bringing together personnel from all units under BSF Meghalaya.
BSF personnel, their families and retirees from Meghalaya gathered to celebrate this significant milestone in the history of the BSF.
The Barakhana, a traditional meal shared by the force members, was held with the participation of both active BSF personnel and retirees who had served the force over the years. The retirees, many of whom had served in various capacities, shared their experiences and expressed their pride in being part of the BSF’s legacy.
The BSF was established on December 1, 1965 to ensure the security of India’s borders.
