Bethany Hospital in Shillong has received accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) for its unwavering commitment to quality and patient safety.
According to a statement from the hospital spokesperson, Dr. Kyntiewlang Sanmiet said the hospital was found to have complied with the NABH’s rigorous standards in terms of patient care, safety protocols and adherence to ethical practices.
“This remarkable achievement underscores our relentless commitment to delivering exceptional quality healthcare services to our patients and upholding the highest standards in patient care and safety,” Dr Sanmiet said.
He said the certification places Bethany Hospital among an exclusive fraternity of hospitals certified for their unwavering commitment to quality and patient safety in the country.
“We are immensely proud with the conferment of the prestigious NABH Certification, an irrefutable reflection of our unwavering dedication to the pursuit of healthcare par excellence. This achievement is a result of our dedicated team’s hard work, exceptional clinical expertise and our unwavering focus on patient safety and well-being,” he added.
It may be mentioned that the NABH, which is a part of the Quality Council of India (QCI), is a quality accreditation board for hospitals in India.
The NABH accreditation programme sets standards for healthcare facilities in India, including emergency care services, to ensure that they meet certain quality and safety standards.
These standards are based on international best practices and are designed to improve patient safety and the quality of care in hospitals.
It may also be noted that the NABH standards are currently the highest benchmark standard for hospital quality in India.
