Shillong, Dec 29: The Shlem Jingiarap u Rupang Committee distributed essential household items to 10 economically weaker families in its 14th round of assistance on Monday.
The event took place at Mawkhar Christian Higher Secondary School, with family members, donors and well-wishers in attendance. Beneficiaries received blankets, mosquito nets, buckets and cooking utensils. Committee general secretary Babu Kular Khongjirem reported that the committee distributed Rs 65,500 in assistance this year, with Rs 6,000 allocated to each family.
