The office of the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has made arrangements to facilitate transportation of the mortal remains of trainee mountaineer Tiklu Jyrwa, that will be brought to Shillong, on Sunday.
In an order issued today the DC said Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC), Tosanbha Marwein will coordinate with all concerned and liaise with the family members of Jyrwa including the Superintendent of Police, who will provide Police escort from Guwahati Airport till the residence at Upper Lumparing in coordination with the SP in Ri Bhoi district.
The East Khasi Hills District Medical & Health Officer will arrange mortuary van to receive the mortal remains from Guwahati and the District Sports Officer to depute an officer or staff who will report to the EAC and to proceed to Guwahati as liaison officers tomorrow.
Jyrwa’s body will be flown together with Deepshika Hazarika from Assam in the same flight on Sunday from Dehradun to Guwahati and will arrive at 4 pm.
The journey has already started from Matli Helipad, Uttarkashi at 5 am today for Jollygrant airport, Dehradun to complete the body embalming before boarding the flight on Sunday.
