Renowned chef Sarah Todd of MasterChef Australia, who brought her expertise and passion for Indian cuisine to the judging panel, raised the bar for the contestants and added a new dimension to the competition.
The contestants include Artet Kharsati, Ivan Suting, Adonijah Lyngdoh, Daei Suchiang, Tanisha Phanbuh and Nambie Marak.As
The top 5 contestants were also awarded with Rs 10 lakh each by Meghalaya Tourism to give them a boost in their culinary enterprises and ventures they have been planning.
The cheques were handed over to the contestants earlier this year by Commissioner and Secretary, Dr. D. Vijay Kumar at a Public Screening of “Hills on a Plate Episode 1” which took place at Lariti Auditorium in March.
