The 8th State Conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Meghalaya, a right-wing Hindutva students’ organisation, concluded yesterday with sessions featuring people from diverse fields.
Sessions were held with celebrated film director Simi Khongtiang, Meriba Sumer, founder of SishuPebe Bakes in Jowai, who shared her story of resilience and entrepreneurship, encouraging delegates to consider business as a path to community upliftment and personal growth.
The third speaker was Bonkey R. Marak from Williamnagar, founder of Eco-Craft, a manufacturing unit specializing in eco-friendly products such as stationery for student and former IPS and BJP leader, Mariahom Kharkarang.
The conference concluded with a valedictory session, during which the newly elected Office Bearers and State Working/Executive Members of ABVP for 2024-25 were announced.
The event ended on a ceremonious note with the lowering of the ABVP flag, marking the successful completion of a conference that fostered learning, inspiration, and growth for Meghalaya’s youth.
