An employee of a construction company who was allegedly kidnapped by unknown miscreants in South Garo Hills was rescued today in a special police operation.
Akhilesh Singh Chouhan (50) was kidnapped by miscreants on March 20. He was found from a jungle in Siju, South Garo Hills.
Two of his abductors were arrested.
According to reports, Chauhan who hails from Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh works with a private construction company and was deployed at a construction site at Rongdik bridge on NH-217 in Siju area.
Police said that some unidentified persons went to the tent where Chauhan stayed at the construction site at 1:40 am and enquired about the availability of diesel. When he went out to check the diesel box, he was allegedly kidnapped.
