Shillong, Jul 29: Students of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Umroi Cantonment today joined the rest of the nation to mark the completion of five transformative years of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam 2025.
The event was live-streamed from Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary and Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Minister of State for Education & Development of the North Eastern Region were the guests at the function.
The dignitaries emphasized inclusive, technology-integrated, and skill-driven education for the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The students from classes VI to X watched the live proceedings with keen interest and absorbed key highlights regarding the journey, achievements, and future roadmap of NEP 2020. The event sparked curiosity among the students, who expressed their thoughts on the importance of transforming the Indian education system to meet global standards.
The library, being the knowledge hub of the school, served as the ideal location for this interactive viewing.
The initiative was coordinated by Krishna Nand Singh, Librarian, under the guidance of the Principal, and reflects the school’s commitment to aligning with national educational goals.
