Shillong, Jul 27: A party of five Bangladeshis were caught by the Border Security Force (BSF) on July 24 and were handed over to the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB).
The Bangladeshis were intercepted in the Ratacherra area of East Jaintia Hills near the international border.
Four of them are related. They were identified as Joy Hari Baishnab (30), his wife Suparva Rani Baishnab (24), their daughter Sirija (4) and Sarla Baishnab (80). The other person was identified as Mittu Das (28).
In a separate incident, the BSF nabbed six persons – four Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian facilitators – in the Ratacherra area after they crossed into India from the neighbouring country.
