Former MDC of Gasuapara constituency in the GHADC, Olendro R Marak, has officially resigned from the primary membership of the Congress Party citing personal reasons.
Marak, who began his political career with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was elected as an MDC from Gasuapara in the 2009 GHADC elections.
He later joined the Congress and contested two consecutive district council elections but failed to secure a win.
When asked about his resignation and future plans, Marak stated, “Despite sincere efforts, I faced defeat twice. I feel it’s time to make space for other Congress members to contest. As of now, I have no intention to join any political party. I wish to remain independent at this juncture.”
