The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) of South Garo Hills organised a one-day orientation program cum training for police officers under the district today.
The program, held at the Conference Hall of the District Sessions Court in Baghmara, aimed to enhance police officers’ understanding of legal procedures, rights of arrested persons, and other relevant laws.
The orientation program was designed to equip police officers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively discharge their duties while respecting the rights of citizens. The training covered various aspects of the law, including the rights of arrested persons, procedures for arrest and detention, and the importance of adhering to legal protocols.
Through the programme, the DLSA aims to promote a culture of respect for the law and human rights among police officers, ultimately contributing to a more just and equitable society.
