State-owned OTT platform, ‘Hello Meghalaya’ marked its one year anniversary, showcasing its remarkable achievements in promoting the state’s vibrant culture, stories, and talent.
Launched on July 11, 2024, the Hello Meghalaya, OTT platform, today marks its one year anniversary showcasing its sheer wave of promoting and celebrating the vibrant culture, stories, and talent of Meghalaya.
“In just one year, Hello Meghalaya has become a transformative platform for local artists, filmmakers, and content creators, achieving remarkable milestones and fostering a thriving creative economy. Moreover, Hello Meghalaya acts as a platform for upskilling like the Filmmaking exchange program,” a press statement said.
Since its launch, Hello Meghalaya has garnered over 3.8 lakh downloads and nearly 2 lakh registrations, with content views reaching an impressive 10 million and an average watch time of 4 hours and 30 minutes per user.
Popular films such as KaChithi, Pynngop, Ka-Daw, 9-Lad, Jingim, and Ahor have each surpassed one million views, showcasing the platform’s ability to captivate audiences with realtime Meghalayan narratives.
The platform has emerged as a dedicated space for local content creators, offering a unique platform to showcase films, short films, music videos, vlogs, documentaries, and live content in regional languages such as Khasi, Garo, and Pnar.
