The State Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation under the National Campaign on Energy Conservation 2024 was held here today at the NEEPCO Auditorium.
FR Kharkongor, Principal Secretary of Arts and Culture, was the chief guest and highlighted the importance of energy conservation and said such events will help create awareness amongst children and teach them appropriate values.
B Tigga of NEEPCO welcomed the gathering, while LA Kharmawphlang, Deputy General Manager (CC) and Nodal Officer, Meghalaya, presented the report.
A total of 89 students from various districts of Meghalaya took part in the event.
The winners from Category A were Abhinav Mishra of BK Bajoria School Shillong, Suraj Thapa of Shillong Public School and Amberjill M Nongbet of St Mary’s School Shillong. The winners of Category B were Himadri Patir of BK Bajoria School Shillong, Nengnunnem of Army Public School Shillong and Banlamshwa War of St Dominic’s School Mawkhar Shillong.
