Personnel of the 172nd Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya seized medical accessories worth more than Rs 1 crore before they could be smuggled into Bangladesh across the international border in East Jaintia Hills.
The incident took place yesterday when the IV cannula sets, which are intravenous small plastic tubes inserted into a vein to provide access to the bloodstream, were discovered in Dona by the BSF troops, who were acting on specific information.
The seized goods were handed over to Customs officials for further legal action.
