One person was arrested while he was allegedly transporting ganja in a truck, police said today.
The truck bearing registration number NL 02 N 2630 was loaded with 9 kg of ganja and was headed for Guwahati when it was intercepted in Nongpoh, Ri Bhoi district last night at around 9 pm, police said.
The driver of the truck identified as 24-year-old Geramsha Bro of Myrangare, Tezpur
Nongpoh Officer in-charge MR Marak said investigation is on to trace the origin of the seized ganja.
