More than 1,000 runners have registered themselves for the 3rd Sohra International Half Marathon 2024, which is scheduled to take place next month.
Two Kenyans, Wycliffe Nyagotuga Juma and Eliakim Kiplimo Cheruiyot, have also confirmed their participation.
With less than a month to go until registration closes on September 10 (the race will take place on September 21), the Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA), which is organising the event, has requested all those interested to register as soon as possible. A maximum of 4,000 entries will be accepted.
For those who want to register for the 5km Run for Fun, offline registration is accepted in the MSOA office here at the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex.
Athletes from the Sohra region can register at the shop of Sol Shullai near Thanat petrol pump. Students can register through their respective schools.
Online registration can be done on meghalayaolympicassociation.com/3rd-shora-marathon-run.
