The A’chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM) today met with the Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills to submit a letter through her to the Chief Minister to request for new medical infrastructure in Ampati Civil Hospital.
The pressure group wants a CT scan machine, intensive care unit (ICU) wards and an endoscopy machine.
“These facilities are crucial to improve the quality of healthcare services provided to the people of Ampati district and surrounding areas,” AHAM said.
Without them, patients have to travel long distances for care, adding to their financial burden and delays in treatment.
