All state government offices and educational institutions shall remain closed on April 19 to enable voters to exercise their franchise in the Lok Sabha 2024 election, it was informed by the Secretary of the General Administration Department through a notification today.
Industrial undertakings or any of establishment governed by the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881, shops and those which work on a shift basis, daily wage and casual workers including those working outside the constituency shall be entitled to the benefit of a paid holiday as provided in Section 135(B) of the Representation of the People Act 1951.
