NEIGRIHMS celebrated its 14th annual day today and held a graduation ceremony as well.
Dean of NEIGRIHMS, Dr AS Santa Singh congratulated the graduate students and asked them to incorporate empathy in their future medical profession. Dr Singh also administered the physician’s pledge to the medical students.
Director of NEIGRIHMS, Prof Nalin Mehta, emphasised the importance of discipline, dedication, compassion, communication and ethics of good work in the medical profession. Mehta also advised the future mentors, healers and medical practitioners not to ignore their own health during the service to mankind.
The function was graced by chief guest and eminent gastroenterologist Dr Rakesh Aggarwal (Director of JIPMER, Puducherry). Dr Aggarwal was conferred with the prestigious India Gandhi Oration and he delivered a talk on “My Tryst with Hepatitis”.
Dr Aggarwal and other dignitaries conferred scrolls to the newly graduated medical and nursing students. The chief guest also awarded various prizes for the academic and scientific events which were held as a part of annual day celebration.
