Personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya conducted several operations yesterday wherein they were able to foil attempts to smuggle more than 17 tonnes of sugar into Bangladesh.
Responding to specific intelligence inputs, the BSF launched a series of operations resulting in the interception of huge quantities of sugar, which was then handed over to Customs authorities for further legal action. No further details were provided by the border force.
