With the ongoing recruitment process of NEIGRIHMS for Group B and C posts, some points need to be thought about by the candidates especially us the localities who are being intimated to far-off cities like Jorhat, Delhi NCR, Dibrugarh, etc.
Are the deemed authorities really into recruiting candidates from here or they are more concerned about shifting candidates outside so that less or maybe no candidate even reaches the exam centres in the given city intimations which are far off from here. The institute is here in Shillong and the posts so advertised, I believe the candidates are to be posted here only since the institute is located here only.
Moreover, for Group-C posts in particular the clerical posts like LDC, registration clerk, record clerk, etc, exams are conducted in respective states only. We have seen that during the other competitive exams like banking or SSC how the respective bodies like IBPS, TCS, or NTA conduct the exams smoothly in the State without having the candidates move to other states/cities.
Colleges, schools in particular, get almost over now due to final exams being done and going towards winter vacations. I fail to understand how the conducting body could not even manage a handful number of examination centres in Shillong and stated that sufficient numbers of computers are not there??? We even have the TCS ION centre for conducting the competitive exams. Still not sufficient computers??? Why such a hurry in conducting a competitive exam where it is known that candidates from here will apply in sufficient numbers??? Strange isn’t it??
If online exam centres could not be managed, then offline methods like using OMR sheets could have been used and NEIGRIHMS itself could have used its halls/rooms for conducting the exam. But, as per its conducting body “HLL LIFECARE”, centres are not to be found anywhere…which seemed pretty unbelievable.
Lastly, and the most interesting thing is the credentials which the conducting body has provided like phone number and email for any sort of help has stopped responding and even the number through which calls were to be made by candidates had been taken down. So, in which way is the transparency going on?? Even the exam cell of NEIGRIHMS is saying to contact HLL LIFECARE for any issues, but no response is there from the conducting body. Is playing with careers now really a joke of some sort??
Fees are charged considerably for the exam and three choices of exam centres are given. But intimated cities do not even come close to that of the mentioned city choices.
Candidates aren’t ignorant. Kindly don’t play with our careers as they are on the line. Years of preparation and toiling goes into vain with such wrongdoings made by the conducting body as well as the institute.
