The Jaiñtia National Council (JNC) today met with the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department’s Khliehriat Division over the deterioration of an important bridge.
The Um-su-wai bridge lies on the Musniang-Rangad road. It is of iron construction and is a backbone for the people of the area but, over the years, its condition has deteriorated and locals now risk their lives using it, the JNC said.
The PWD official said that he will take up the matter with the higher authorities.
