The state government will provide a bus to transport spectators from Shillong to Umtham village for the Meghalaya Kayak Festival.
The festival is being organised by the Ri-Bhoi Water Sports and Tourism Cooperative Society in collaboration with the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs and will run from October 12 to 14 with participants from Meghalaya, the rest of India and abroad.
On the competition days, a 40-seater bus will be stationed at Khyndailad from 6:30am before departing at 7am for the venue.
