The Deputy Commissioner of West Jaiñtia Hills has issued an order instructing all local and tourist taxi drivers to stop operating their vehicles in case they have contracted conjunctivitis.
The order was issued after the district administration learned that there are taxi drivers who continue to operate their vehicles in spite of suffering from the contagious disease.
To prevent the spread of the infection to passengers and the general public, the DC has issued this order while warning of strict action towards those taxi drivers who do not comply.
