Unidentified miscreants ransacked the office of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) branch office located at Pyndenspar, Laitlawsang in Mawkyrwat, police said today.
The day of the incident is yet to be ascertained. As per a complaint the office was closed on Saturday and Sunday being the non-working days and Monday, which was a state holiday.
As per the complaint the lock of the office door was broken and important office papers were found scattered to the ground. Nothing has been stolen, it was reported.
Police investigation is on.
