The Khadi and Village Industries Commission sponsored a “People Education Programme” organized by the Meghalaya Social Development Society and hosted by Martin Luther Christian University today.
The programme began with an introductory address by Albinus Nongkynrih, President Meghalaya Social Development Society Shillong. This was followed by a speech on the role and duties of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Ministry of Youth Affair and Sports towards the youth of our state by Depankar Nande, NCERT Counsellor and Faculty Member, NYKS.
A speech on different schemes and training for youths by District Commerce & Industries Centre was then given by Richard Nongbri, Industrial Promotion Officer, DCIC, Shillong.
DCIC General Manager, S. Majaw, Randhir Kumar, State Bank of India, Prof. T. K Bamon, Vice Chancellor, MLCU and Mange Ram, Director Khadi Village Industries Commission, Shillong also shared their thoughts.
