With the aim to keep the culture and traditions of Raid Nongtung alive, a traditional dance usually held every year before the sowing of crops, Shad Lakympong, will organised next month.
The administration of Raid Nongtung in collaboration with the Synjuk ki Ranbah Shnong Raid Nongtung Border Area will hold the two-day festival on April 21 and 22 at Ummat village.
The dance has not taken place for the last three years, largely due to the Covid-19 pandemic but, with life back to normal, Shad Lakympong will make its return.
