Night curfew in Sahsniang has been further relaxed from 9 pm to 11 pm and from 5 am to 4 pm.
West Jaiñtia Hills district magistrate in an order today said curfew is now imposed from 11 pm to 4 am until further orders.
Curfew is being imposed in Sahsniang under Mowkaiaw constituency in the wake of post-vote count violence on March 2.
According to reports, NPP supporters pelted stones at the houses of UDP supporters at Sahsniang village. The supporters were angry over the victory of sitting MLA Nujorki Sungoh of UDP.
Reports said that many UDP supporters from the village had to flee for their own safety.
