Nongthymmai Sports and Cultural Club concluded its Platinum Jubilee Football Tournament 2022 today at Madan Nongthymmai.
Dong Pohktieh won the women’s final 4-3 in a tiebreaker over Shnong Umpling, while Shnong Nongkhyriem defeated Shnong Madanrting 3-1; Youngmin Khriam (1 goal) and Iarbok Kshiar (2) for Nongkhyriem and Mark Augustine Wanswett (1) for Madanrting.
The chief guest on the occasion was Senior Advocate VGK Kynta, with Adviser to the Synjuk Ki Nongsynshar Shnong Nongthymmai Pyllun, RV Dkhar, and the Rangbah Shnongs of several neighbourhoods of Nongthymmai also present.
The jubilee celebrations had begun in 2019 but were dislocated due to the Covid-19 pandemic that arrived the following year.
