With the aim to inculcate research skills, the Department of Doctoral Studies & Research, Martin Luther Christian University as part of its annual event organised a two-day event on different research-based activities that concluded today.
Students from various departments of the university participated in these activities which included quiz competition, data interpretation, out of the box and research poster presentation.
Associate Professor of Union Christian College, Dr. Marco Mitri, who is also a member of the Doctoral Committee of the university, attended the programme as the chief guest. He emphasised the importance of initiating research activities for the learner right from the moment one joins the under-graduate courses.
Appreciating MLCU for research activities he said dissertations add significant value to a student’s education, besides the certificate one acquired when one graduates. He said dissertations can bridge the gap in synthesizing and creating knowledge which are relevant to the context of the local community and solving pertinent issues affecting the community.
Prizes were also awarded to the winners of the various activities held during the two day event.
